Lily's Big Day(s)

Here is Lily on her birthday, in the adorable onesie that Aunt Wendy made for her.

Luckily she's an expert at eating.

Daddy's girl.

Playing with her toys on the morning of her birthday.

She has recently been refusing anything in her hair, and will automatically take whatever it may be out of her hair and put it right in her mouth. This makes me a little nervous, so I've given up. Mom: 0
Lily: 1 (Get it?)

365 Days of Sweet Lily

Yep, I'm going to post 365 pictures of Lily, so get ready. Just kidding. I will however do a picture of each month in honor of Lily turning 1 tomorrow, and I'll post a picture tomorrow of the cutie on her big day.

Today

Things I need to do today:
1. Clean the whole house before we leave tomorrow for AZ
2. Do all of our laundry, and fold it

Things Lily wants to do today:
1. Not take naps
2. Make messes

What we will actually do today:
1. Get the heck out of the house

What I wish I had:
1. A pool
2. A housekeeper

What Lily is doing while I type this:
1. Opening and closing all of the cupboards in the kitchen, and laughing as they slam

What this will progress to:
1. Getting into my glass measuring cups
2. Tipping the dog's water bowl over

What I am doing right now:
1. Sighing and wishing that I had brushed my teeth and put on deoderant when I had the chance

Oh yeah...

I got new hair. And all of my shirts are now stretched out around the neck from Lily constantly pulling at them. It's awesome.

If you go on a bike ride with Stacey...

If you go on a bike ride with Stacey, she might take you by some volcanoes...

And when you go by those volcanoes, she might say, "Can you hike in those shoes?"

And you might say, "Huh?" And Renee might just go for it.

And you might just hike a volcano in your bike shoes, in the middle of your bike ride.

And you might get a little nervous about all of your bikes being waaaaaay down there.

And you will definitely have a lot of fun.

How Lily spends her days...

She is starting to get better about this, but now that she's pulling up to stand on things, she gets a little freaked out when she realizes that whoa, she is kind of high up, whoa, she doesn't know how to get down, Mom help!

Taking naps and being ridiculously cute and happy when she wakes up.

Playing in her backyard.

Chilling in her basket so that mom can blow dry her hair.

Walking the dog.

Stealing (or sharing) the dog's bed.

Getting into EVERYTHING.

Sometimes there's some days like this...

That one time resulted in this...

It's a good life.

It's that time of year again...almost

I LOVE Halloween. It is my life goal to someday have the creepiest house on the block, complete with spooky music, fog, and scary things that go bump in the dark. Basically the house that makes your young children cry.

I was looking on a website today that has some great Halloween decor, when Tim and I came across this. This is nothing less than a Halloween Fogger Bubble Machine. It "produces bubbles that release a puff of smoke when they burst". My favorite part of the description is that it's a "unique addition to any holiday get-together". I read this aloud to Tim while showing him.

Tim: Well no kidding.
Me: Merry Christmas! It's the Fogger Bubble Machine!
Tim: Happy Easter!
Me: Happy Valentine's Day! Look, there's bubbles, with fog in them! Happy 4th of July!

Oh we crack ourselves up over here. So if you see fog-filled bubbles in the background for Lily's upcoming birthday party...
